I get an error message with CheckWriter Legacy Software on CD or Flash Drive.

Any issues with CheckWriter Legacy Edtion Versions 7.9 and prior are NOT SUPPORTED. 

The software is no longer legal to use, and cusotmers should upgrade ASAP.


The old software does not comply with modern data security regulations, does not comply with EPC-6 if they have version 7.8 or prior, and won't work on the newest Windows 10 updates for 2019, due to the database structrue.


Support ended on December 31, 2018 and replacement disks and flash drives are out of stock.


Support ended on December 31, 2018 and replacement CD / disks and flash drives are out of stock.  The LEGACY edition is no longer legal to use. 

The solution to any technical issue with the old version is to UPGRADE to the new version:

The upgrade will look and feel exactly like the old CheckWriter, so there will be no learning curve.  It will import all of their data, even if it is corrupted in most cases.
