How does CheckWriter work?
CheckWriter is a stand alone payment system that you access as a virtual terminal through any web browser.
Once you are set up, CheckWriter allows you to take a check by phone, fax or over the Internet. You then enter or import the paymnet information into the software and using a laser or ink-jet printer, you create a draft of the customer's check, that can be deposited into any U.S. bank the same day, guaranteed.
There are no discount rates or transaction fees, and no special bank account is required. These drafts are treated just like a regular check by your bank. There are no settlement periods, and as a rule, the funds are credited to your ledger balance the same business day.
